 To help, here are three definitions:
 Dowels, or Scroll Rods, come in pairs and are sanded and unvarnished, with 1.5" of "easy sew" cotton twill tape, glued and stapled. There are two types of Dowels - standard and Extreme Tension (see below).

 Side bars, sometimes called Frame Sides, are made from Maple, sanded and unvarnished. Side bars are needed to connect a pair of Scroll rods in order to make a Scroll frame. The same side bars can be used for both standard Scroll Rods and Extreme Tension Rods.

 Scroll Frames include a pair of Dowels (Scroll rods) and a pair of Side bars (which include a set of 4 Tri-knobs).
